Aim
Lowest total score wins after 14 rounds.
Rounds and wildcards
There are 14 rounds. The wild rank changes each round: A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, then A again — shown as A* to mark the final round.
Dealing
Each player starts with 7 cards. The dealer gets 8 cards and starts the round by discarding one card, so everyone then has 7.
Turn structure
- Pick up one card from either the deck or discard pile.
- Play sets, add to sets, or swap wildcards if you can/want to.
- End your turn by discarding one card.
You should never have more than 8 cards during your turn.
Playing a set
A set must have at least 3 cards and can be either:
- Number set: same rank, different suits, max 4 cards. Wildcards can fill missing suits, but the set cannot be bigger than the natural maximum.
- Run: same suit, consecutive ranks. Aces can be low or high, but not wrapped, so K–A–2 is not valid.
Wildcards
Wildcards can stand in for missing cards in a set or run. For runs, the wildcard must have a specific chosen position — e.g. K–Q–Wild could mean the wildcard is J or A depending on the run.
Adding to sets
Once you have played your own first set, you are “open” and can add valid cards to any set on the table.
Swapping wildcards
Once open, you can swap a natural card from your hand for a wildcard on the table, but only if your card exactly matches what the wildcard is representing.
Going out
If you discard/play so your hand is empty, the round ends immediately.
Scoring
The player who goes out scores 0 for the round. Everyone else scores the value of cards left in hand:
- Number cards = face value
- J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13, A = 14
- Wildcards = 15
